Guided Painting
Session 1-
Though this exercise students will become familiar on how to use the palette knife and how it is used to blend colours. Students will also learn how to use a dry brush and colour shapers.

Warm Colour Exercise
Session 2-
Students will learn how to use a warm colour palette and continue to develop the use of tools from the previous class, this free style exercise is designed to allow the student to examine a background to develop a final image.

Layering in Green
Session 3-
Using colour shapers and dry brushes, students will learn the technique on how to create ‘depth in the painting’ by using a simple image of a Koru.

Colour Blending Exercise
Session 4-
This is a free style exercise where the student will use a limited colour pallet

Permanent Magenta, Coeruleum Blue (Hue), Viridian Hue (Green) and Titanium White and develop the use of tools from the previous exercises.
Guided Sunset
Session 5-
Building on previous skills and developing the use of techniques with a pallet knife to ‘blend’ colours.
Tropical Seascape
Session 6-
Students will now learn how to create a simple seascape painting with a limited colour pallet.
Playing with the Sand
Session 7-
Students will create an effective sand colour to be applied to the canvas using various tools.
Dirty Brush Exercise
Session 8-
Sstudents will learn the technique of how to blend colours and then apply the various tools.
Painting Faces
Session 9-
Through this exercise students will follow a step by step instruction on how to paint the female face.
